# Sales call debrief and CRM update

## Purpose

Turn a sales conversation into a factual debrief that a deal owner can act on. Capture who spoke, business problem, current process, impact, desired outcome, buying process, timing, budget evidence, objections, competitors, commitments, and next step without turning an unconfirmed remark into a CRM fact.

## Scope

Use the call transcript or notes, account and opportunity records, contact roles, prior activity, qualification framework, product or pricing references, and the CRM field dictionary. Compare statements with existing stage, amount, close date, next-step, and decision-process fields; flag contradictions rather than overwriting them.

**Excluded:** contacting the prospect, sending follow-up, changing CRM records, inventing a forecast, or treating a speaker's assumption as customer commitment.

## Data basis

- Call transcript with speaker labels, timestamps, agenda, and explicit commitments.
- Account, opportunity, contact, activity, product, stage, amount, close-date, and owner records.
- Qualification framework, approved product terminology, and CRM field definitions.

## Result

Produce a debrief document with executive summary, evidence by qualification topic, objections, risks, commitments, next-step proposal, and unresolved questions. Add a CRM update sheet with field, current value, proposed value, evidence quote, timestamp, confidence, and conflict flag.

## Quality criteria

- Every proposed CRM change cites a speaker, timestamp, transcript passage, or account record.
- Customer-stated facts, seller interpretation, and proposed actions use separate labels.
- Next steps name the action, participant, target date, and whether it was explicitly agreed.
- Qualification status is “unknown” when the transcript lacks evidence for a criterion.
- Existing CRM values are preserved when the call contradicts them.

## Instructions

Use the qualification framework's definitions and evidence requirements. Attribute statements to the speaker and retain timestamps for material claims. Distinguish “we need this by June” from “we could consider this later,” and distinguish a seller promise from a prospect commitment. Do not infer budget from company size or urgency from a polite response. Mark a proposed stage, amount, or close-date change as unconfirmed unless the CRM rule permits evidence from the call. Keep recommendations short and tied to a stated gap, objection, or agreed action.

## Adapt before use

- Add the qualification framework, CRM field dictionary, approved product terms, and opportunity schema.
- Map account, contact, opportunity, activity, owner, stage, amount, and close-date fields.
- Define confidence labels, evidence requirements, and rules for proposed CRM changes.
- Set the format for timestamps, next-step dates, and unresolved buyer questions.
